Phone Call to Past Epochs
In June of 2016, Alison Jean Cole and Lisa Ward had the great honor of being artists-in-residence at the Petrified Forest National Park in eastern Arizona. Throughout their 3 week stay in the park, the artists installed a bright red touch-tone telephone along different trail systems throughout the park. The phone provided park visitors with a direct line to place a call back in time 220 years to the late triassic.
